Cost Accountant – Up to $120K Salary

Job Purpose:
As the Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing key accounting reports, performing cost analysis, and ensuring the accuracy of cost-related financial data. This position provides valuable support to senior management in making informed, strategic decisions.
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly journal entries and month-end close for cost accounting data
Review journal entries for discrepancies or inconsistencies
Prepare monthly and quarterly accounting reports for management
Conduct inventory reserve analysis quarterly and generate reports for senior management
Suggest changes to policies or procedures to improve cash flow
Review depreciation rates, labor, and overhead costs, recommending improvements to enhance profitability
Generate and analyze PPV reports
Establish and update standard costs as necessary
Maintain and review the general ledger and reconcile balance sheets
Analyze raw material costs and create cost-benefit analyses for vendor changes
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3+ years of relevant work experience, with manufacturing experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and the ability to make recommendations that drive improvements
Comfortable working in a collaborative, family-oriented environment
